What is it?
A small accumulation of fat (adipose) tissue in a small space is prominent and problematic for quite a few women. When that space is around the pubic area it can cause fear and a loss of confidence for many women.
There is no reason why some women suffer from it and others not, it is just down to your own genetic makeup. The good news though is that treatment is available to reduce the mound and allow you to feel confident again.
The procedure
The Mons pubis reduction is conducted under local anaesthetic. Conscious Sedation is available in our clinic if you require it, however not at all essential. Vaser ultrasonic energy is then used to loosen the fat under the mound and then gently extracted by lipoaspiration. Some additional energy in the form of ‘liposurge’ (a power-assisted cannula) is then used to complete the process leaving a smooth even result.

Is Vaser Liposuction right for you?

Will it scar?
small incisions are made to remove the excess fat, these are no more than a few mm’s and experience has taught us that these will probably disappear in a few weeks.
Do you remove all the fat?
No. Removing all the fat will cause the skin to wrinkle and give an unnatural appearance. The skill of the vaser lipo surgeon is not removing fat, but knowing what not to remove.
Does it take in the rest of the genitals?
No. The liposculpting procedure will not involve the labia or any other part of the genitals.

Award Winning Dr Shashi Bassi qualified at the University of Leicester in 1984 and has gained more than 30 years’ of experience in the medical field.
