What is it?
The removal of excess fat from the arms. This often causes sagging as gravity eventually takes it’s toll on our bodies. Many patients come to us with worries about bingo wings, and how it affects what they wear and how they feel. Vaser lipo treatment can remove the excess fat and recontour the skin to give a natural look.
Who is it for?
If your embarrassed by your sagging arms, and struggle to find clothes you are happy to wear in the summer or on holiday, then maybe we can help. What we do?
The process for treating is similar to all our liposculpting procedures: A local anaesthetic is applied along with an oral sedative if the patient requires it. The Vaser machine is set at a mild setting, due to the nature of the fat on the arm, which shakes the fat loose. Then micro-incisions are made in the elbow and armpit, which means the risk of scarring is almost zero, whilst a thin custom canola is then used to remove the excess fat.

Having treatment is a big decision so we often get asked the same questions as our patients start with the same concerns.
How long does it take to recover?
After the procedure you will require mld massages, at least 3 sessions by a trained therapist, after that you can massage yourself or get a loved one to do it for you. Also, a compression garment should be worn for 3 weeks after surgery
Will it leave a scar?
The risk of scarring is almost zero. Micro incisions are made in the elbow and armpit and so the where the cannula enters the body is small and indiscreet.
Can anyone have treatment?
No. It’s important we asses you, your current condition and your expectations. Sometimes the excess fat on the arms are caused by other medical problems which Vaser Lip sculpting is not the answer. By meeting with you and discussing it we can help you make the right choice.
Will it remove them completely?
It all depends on you, your body and lifestyle. We will meet with you and discuss your expectations. It’s very important to us that you understand what the results are likely to be for you. Everyone is different and we make sure we never over promise.

Award Winning Dr Shashi Bassi qualified at the University of Leicester in 1984 and has gained more than 30 years’ of experience in the medical field.
He has developed a specialist interest in aesthetics over the last 15+ years and was one of the first UK Doctors to train and specialise in Vaser Liposuction and Tickle Liposuction, with a client list of over 1500 happy patients.
In this time Dr Bassi has continued his education with a wide range of training courses throughout the world which have all contributed to skills for removing fat whilst sculpting his patients body to their desired result.
Registered with the GMC, Dr Bassi continues to work as a devoted GP, he is a full member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and the British Association of Body Sculpting. Combining the technologies of VaserLipo & Tickle Lipo which enables speedier fat removal and enhances body sculpting, Dr Bassi has developed a keen eye for the aesthetic silhouette of both male and female bodies.
